A wildlife tour takes those with an interest in wildlife to places where
they can be shown examples of what Ireland has to offer, from seabirds
and shorebirds to wild flowers, butterflies and other insects. A
wildlife tour can be tailored to suit those with special interests or
those with a general interest just wanting to get a flavour of Irish
nature. All tours will be led by an expert on Ireland’s birds and other
wildlife and every effort will be made to make the wildlife tour
something to remember. Many of the tours will bring the visitor to
places off the beaten track, away from the usual tourist spots, thus
allowing the visitor to experience the ‘real’ Ireland.
Tours can be tailored to suit one’s level of fitness, with all abilities
catered for from a number of coach stops or a leisurely stroll in the
Irish countryside to longer walks for those wishing to stretch the legs
a bit more or wanting to see particular birds or other wildlife.
Tours would be available all year round with every season offering the
tourist a different wildlife experience.
Because of the nature of the type of tour there will have to be
flexibility and the itinerary may vary depending on the weather etc.
Bird watching/Wildlife tours are not really suitable for large groups –
10 to 12 Max for best experience but could handle up to 20 at a stretch.
Would suggest targeting small groups at upper end of the market as well
as cruise liner groups and school groups etc.
